UAE Federal Tax authority has recently issued Decision No. 6 of 2022 for revising the maximum amount of cash refund of VAT to Tourists. Following are the key points of the decision:

• The Cash refund of VAT for Tourist Scheme shall be limited to a maximum of AED 35,000 per overseas tourist per 24 hours

• ●
• Any provision contrary to or inconsistent with the provisions of this decision, as well as Decision No. 1 of 2019, shall be abrogated.

• This decision will be effective from 1st September 2022
